Mandatory work has been made before the retirement of an employee. This is applicable to all employees of the government. Following this government standard is compulsory for the employees.
Update on employee retirement rules: This notification issued by the government deals solely with the aspects of retirement rules. The Personnel Ministry under the government has issued this notification through the department. The guidelines for government employees have been issued by the Pension and Pensioners Welfare Department.
Verification is mandatory for employees:
Government employees must undergo verification once they complete eighteen years of service, according to the department’s guidelines DOPPW had laid down to government employees. Employees completing 18 years of service will be justified in their entitlement of verification. Guidelines related to this have also been issued. It has a case even in all possibilities. It is a retirement-related rule.
Pension and Pensioners Welfare Department has given a notification. All employees having over 18 years of service will now need verification under this. For this the employees among them will have to get verified five years before retirement. This will be very important for employees so that they get Periodically Recorded Qualifying Service, and will also know whether all required documents are in order before retirement or not.
The process of the verification of employees in the government
The department has issued notifications to all departments about this. The concerned department head of the employee and the accounts office will do the verification of the employees at the end of their respective service. The process will be done under the terms of service. After verification, the employee will also be given a certificate, which is available in four formats.
It will start in January
Mandatory verification of employees under service rules. This verification is compulsory within five years from the retirement of workers. And if such verification is not done, employees will have to face problems. There shall begin verification work from the end of January.
Awareness for employees
The government intends to sensitize all employees to their real standing in jobs. The whole show will be now on the employees. The entire process of verifying such employees may be done much before their date of retirement. At the end of the leave, the employees will have to submit to compulsory verification their qualifying service certificate.
