That’s why LPG is an issue at the common man’s end. Because the cooking of food in every kitchen happens through LPG, the rise and fall in the prices of domestic gas cylinders affects all. This reason is such that it has become a big issue for every government and political party. This is also why the central and state governments have schemes like Ujjwala Yojana for making gas available at very subsidized rates to poor and needy people.
LPG cylinder will now be delivered at Rs 450 for ration card holders.
In this chain, the Rajasthan government has taken a big step and initiated a grand project for poorer and needy families. According to this scheme, all the ration card-holding families of the Rajasthan state will now be provided an LPG cylinder for only Rs 450. The underlying intention of the government in this scheme is to give direct relief to those families who are in trouble because of increasing prices of LPG cylinders in the market.
Besides this, poor families will spend less on cooking and thereby improve their financial condition for purchasing gas at such lower rates. Another important point is that this ambitious scheme of the Rajasthan government is not just for the Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries; rather all the ration card holders in the state stand eligible for availing such scheme.
Around 68 lakh people of the state will get the benefit
If reports of the media are to be believed, around 68 lakh people in the state will benefit from this scheme of the Rajasthan government. Even prior to this, nearly 37 lakh people in the state have been accessing the benefits of BPM and PMU Yojana. But now this scheme has been extended to 68 lakh people.
