According to the Government of India, the Dearness Allowance, which is considered very important, is revised after every 6 months so that all the central employees as well as pensioners are saved from current inflation and the negative impact of inflation can be reduced by changing the said allowance.

All of you employees probably are aware that the central government increases dear allowances by four percent from the very beginning of the session, Joda 24 which translates to January 2024 hence; with the increase of four percent in dear allowance benefits, it would increase the dear allowances concerning employees and pensioners to 50 percent.

Increase in other allowances due to increase in DA
Because there is an increase in the DA of central employees, therefore the other allowances such as HRA, CEA and TA also increase by 25 percent, and just to have an understanding with an example, the CEA Children Education Allowance which was Rs 2812.50 a month shall now be increased to Rs 3516.60.
Consequences on other allowances because of raise in dearness allowance
